What each layer shows, a quick guide to SFF, SAM and more.

Which way each layer runs, and whether it's evidence. Everything else is in Knowledge base.

Layer What it does Values
SFF Spectral Feature Fitting fits a mineral's absorption features one by one; the most precise match in the platform. Needs hyperspectral data (like EMIT) closer to 1 is better
SAM Spectral Angle Mapper matches the whole spectrum by angle to a reference; runs on multispectral data too closer to 1 is better
GSI Geological Spectral Indices band ratios for a mineral group or lithology higher is more; scale isn't 0 to 1
AI Spectral Targeting flags pixels that stand out, without naming a mineral smaller is a stronger anomaly
AI Clusters groups spectrally similar pixels; follows the surface, not the bedrock Hint, general AOI overview, potential search for anomalous locations
Extracted Edges Lineaments generated from a hillshade; it has limitations if visible color changes on hillshade are a noise not geological contacts higher gives fewer, sharper
FCC False Color Composite shows alteration and lithology contacts orientation
Magnetometry TMI and its products – Global EMAG provided in the platform. User's data can be sent to TerraEye to process it the same way read contrasts, not absolutes
Gravity Global Gravity Model provided in the platform. regional only
Geochemistry your samples as points, with a gradient per element User's data required – usefulness dependent on your data.
The four masks vegetation, water, snow and clouds mask their high values; non-bare soil scores bareness. —
