Mineral Prospecting - MTMF
Mixture-Tuned Matched Filtering (MTMF) is a spectral unmixing technique that determines the relative abundance of a target mineral within a pixel, without requiring the identification of other substances present in the mix.
In TerraEye, MTMF layers are calculated from multispectral and hyperspectral satellite data. Values closer to 1 indicate a greater relative abundance of the target mineral. Values below 0.2 are displayed as transparent.
To start working with MTMF results, see How to Use the Mixture-Tuned Matched Filtering (MTMF) Layer.
